Liverpool host Wolves tonight in the Premier League , with this the first time fans are able to attend Anfield since March- and since the Reds won the title.

So could the Reds finally be given chance of a victory lap this evening?

When Wolves arrive of their evening kick-off, Jurgen Klopp’s side last entertained their own supporters, a staggering 271 days ago, though a 3-2 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Liverpool have confirmed that the trophy will not be presented to the 2,000 fans in attendance. All ceremonies will be on hold until a packed stadium is permitted; for me,the right call made by the club.

But this clash with Nuno Espirito Santo’s ambitious Wolves side is significant nonetheless, giving a decidedly stretched Reds the chance to parade their champions status with a worthy performance.

So what is the team news for Liverpool and possible XI selection?

Klopp finds himself in rare position this season; as Liverpool have no new injury concerns to worry about, and instead welcome back two players previously sidelined.

Trent Alexander Arnold and Naby Keita were both part of full-training on Friday, and though Jurgen Klopp refrained from suggesting they could be fit to start, the pair are likely to make the matchday squad this evening.

More positive news came as Andy Robertson and Jordan Henderson took part in the session also, having previously picked up knocks during the 1-0 victory over Ajax in midweek.

With Alisson still absent, the Irishman Caoimhin Kelleher is expected to make this first Premier League debut against Wolves, and would so deservedly following his composed performance against Ajax in midweek.

There maybe a temptation for Klopp to rotate at centre back and left back, with Nat Phillips and Kostas Tsimikas options, but with an opportunity to rest on Wednesday night, Fabinho, Joel Matip and Robertson should all start at Anfield.

Klopp’s midfield of Henderson, Jones and, Gini Wijnaldum could remain unchanged too, while in attack there is big call to make a system remain as a 4-3-3 formation.

While Jota could relish a reunion with his former employer, it may be better for Liverpool to utilise the No 20, as an impact substitute, with Roberto Firmino returning the lead line alongside Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

Nothing but three points will do for Liverpool tonight!

Can’t wait to see and hear the fans back at Anfield this evening!

COME ON THE REDS!
